Group: Cloud Computing, SaaS & Virtualization Discussion: How do you explain cloud computing to your colleagues? @Jim, and maybe others. Where did this "Must be on demand" and "Self service" come from? -my guess is amazon... And why, you could have the exact same service running except that is scales only when you deside, or you might have to call on your vendor for service, they might provide the exact same benefits - also i think this is mixed with SaaS, which is only one type of cloud service. The definition of the CLOUD (private or public) as it stands in which you can pool up IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, what is that? Posted by Thomas Vagner
