Group: Cloud Computing, SaaS & Virtualization Discussion: How do you explain cloud computing to your colleagues? I would say maybe like renting a storage unit. You pay per month or per year to have some else store your "stuff" for you. Important thing to remember is economies of scale. Someone else who specializes in storing stuff can do it a lot cheaper than you can yourself. I.E. if you want a sandwich it wouldn't make much sense to start your own bakery , butcher shop, etc. to put all the ingredients for your one little sandwich. Posted by Becky Kohr
