Group: Cloud Computing, SaaS & Virtualization Discussion: How do you explain cloud computing to your colleagues? It would largely depend on their technical knowledge, but to someone with little knowledge I would explain it as a network disk drive a bit like a beehive where the bits of data are like bees. All the packets of data swarm around the hive; never static and always copying themselves just in case one is lost. When needed a file "swarms" to where it is required - in No particularly discernible order to any that may be watching; into to reassemble itself where required ie the repeated computer.
