Group: Cloud Computing, SaaS & Virtualization Discussion: How do you explain cloud computing to your colleagues? In the U.S. we used to produce our own power. Today, we buy power as a public utility and pay for what we use; cloud computing is the same thing....you pay for infrastructure (OS, storage, disk), a platform, or a specific application. It is too costly and inefficient to use the old paradigm. Posted by Tom
