A large migration with a 30%+ reduction in TCO over 5 years and the savings were realised, as with any Cloud Migration David, the issue is execution. Having done one of the largest Cloud Migrations in Australia at the time nearly 3 years ago, it is critical that you 'decommission' equally as quick as you "commission". (i.e. as a CIO, you must enure that your team can migrate off the legacy as quickly as they migrate to the new Cloud Platform) otherwise you will duplicate costs, and in some instnaces triple costs, as you will have legacy platform, tranformation platform, and end state platform, all costing you $$ at the same time... big issue is "Decommission", and don't let the business hold onto legacy one day longer than needed.
