Group: Cloud Computing, SaaS & Virtualization Discussion: How do you explain cloud computing to your colleagues? Cloud is like electricity, you can have it in 2 cases: 1- you can have your own electricity generator, you its maintainance your self (fuel, part replacement...), you start it as needed but there is the problem of polution and it's very noisy. 2- you can subscribe with an electricity provider and in this case, maintainance is no longer your problem, the only thing it's matter is the service (all the other thing are handled by the provider), and at the end of the month you receive the bill of your electricity use. this is the idea of the cloud.
