Group: Cloud Computing, SaaS & Virtualization Discussion: How do you explain cloud computing to your colleagues? When I did a massive Cloud Migration and had to explain to my Executives, I summed it up this way. We as a company consume over a $100 million dollars of electricity every year, but we have not a single dollar of Electricity generating assets on the Balance Sheet. Why do we have to have a single dollar of Computer generating assets, when we can acquire the resource the same way we do our Electricity? Posted by Ken Major
