As others have already said there is more than 1 flavour of cloud but in a presentation I gave last week in Prague I defined it as this: 1/ There is nothing to install, maintain or upgrade meaning no costly maintenance or power costs. 2/ The applications are always secure and backed up 3/ Costly application Support Skills are not required  4/ The application can be accessed anywhere 5/ The payment is spread over a large period of time 6/ And it is free to try Posted by Simon Barnes
