Firstly, a cloud network can still be unvirtualised, thus you merely transfer energy, rackspace and admin to a colo, even if you do virtualise you still need equipment to be sited on premise. have you included the money used to migrate across, the possibility of unauthorised access, and higher energy bills in the future? All you've done is change from capex to opex, and open yourself to greater risk. Posted by John Booth
