New comment on "How do you explain cloud computing to your colleagues?"

It's not all adjectives, just one's that don't add to the understanding of the original topic. Just as you said pertaining specifically to cost. From my experience, it's very easy for those who like to disprove somethings worth, or discredit it's importance to take the excess verbiage and call it all marketing speak. That's happened several times in this thread.

So if we are really trying to help people understand the technology and get a general consensus, those extra words are just bones to pick to some people. But I digress..

Many people I've noticed tend to lump in Cloud computing, storage, and colos. I'm with you Jan when it comes to the "over the internet". I just tend to reiterate the term network and give the example of a private cloud.
