Group: Cloud Computing, VMware, Virtualization and Enterprise 2.0 Group Discussion: How do you explain cloud computing to your colleagues? That is a cute poem... But how would you explain some of the largest corporations in the world entrusting their "family jewels", and by that I mean, customer contacts, pipelines, funnels, sales results, etc. to Salesforce.com (which is very much a Cloud SaaS service), accessed across the Public Internet, and is inherently a multi-tenant architecture? For all the concerns about Cloud security, these folks seem impervious to scrutiny (or at least criticism) by the press. Aside from a few well-publicized outages, I see little negative written about them. Has anyone experienced or heard of a security breach ? Posted by Jan Klincewicz, MBA
