Group: Cloud Computing, VMware, Virtualization and Enterprise 2.0 Group Discussion: How do you explain cloud computing to your colleagues? @John Well established companies can have an internal cloud. While I'm sure you realize that in your post, it seems as if their is no distinction. That is the major challenge of those of us who are in the biz of evangelizing (I hate that word) cloud infrastructure. With regards to SLA's in the public cloud domain, there are some very well designed architectures out there that are more stable and more reliable than traditional in house server farms. One server is much more likely to fail than 10. Someone else has mentioned already how the AWS outage only effect those that didn't do their due diligence. Posted by Jerome Mills
