Group: Cloud Computing, VMware, Virtualization and Enterprise 2.0 Group Discussion: How do you explain cloud computing to your colleagues? @John: Can you point to a Managed Service Provider or Colo in the past 30 years who provided a service where anyone with a credit card could provision a dozen or a hundred raw servers of varying configurations with a few gigabytes or terrabytes of storage for eight hours or eight days with no explicit contract or human intervention? Or servers with Integrated Development environments already installed ? I am curious as to what examples you can provide in order to bolster your point that Cloud Computing offers nothing new.
