Group: Cloud Computing, VMware, Virtualization and Enterprise 2.0 Group Discussion: How do you explain cloud computing to your colleagues? Personally the best way to explain Cloud Computing to colleagues is give them a bunch of Cloud Service Provider brochures & a few links to the various providers websites / configurators and then ask them to review them tell you what they want implemented.... Oh, what fun... (triggers lots of questions)..... Then the really fun discussions on Cloud deployments are the ones where just the CFO & CEO are together discussing the "Go Forward IT Budget & Strategy".... (tends to get very heated!) If you plan it properly you can start that meeting using their inputs (requirements) and leave the room after about 5 minutes and they don't even notice you've left for about 2hours! In the end (after much heated discussing the (WHAT / WHAT IF..../ HOW / WHO / WHERE / WHEN / & FOR HOW LONG of IT) it always comes back to the "Business Case"..... and that's a HOW MUCH?
