@Ricky I like your extrapolation on cloud computing.My personal feeling is it is comparable to what many have stated here Mainframe computing at the most basic starting point.The difference from then to now is the Technological advances that have enabled us to implement this old methodology in a more modern,effective,faster global manner.Ricky "Gone are the days when the business sends an email to request a new service and somewhere deep in the noise of approval is a request for hardware which takes months to cost justify and implement".This is a big one streamlining the red tape from concept to implementation through the use of on demand "services"= savings.Cloud equals expanded potential growth for (SMBs) that have long been unable to tap into cost effective Tech Solutions for theyre buisness model .Cloud equals a buisiness model and economy that can expand and reduce quickly allowing a more competitive global position for all companies through a quick service provisioned methodology that has been until now unattainable. Gone are the days of waiting around,with discouraging end user satisfaction ,and IT costs that have handcuffed some buisiness revenue streams and growth.Ultimately Cloud means potential savings through service oriented shared cost infrastructure coupled with global cost absorbtion passing off to SMB and Enterprise.Just my take on this innovative movement. | |
