Group: Cloud Computing, SaaS & Virtualization Discussion: How do you explain cloud computing to your colleagues? That YouTube is a nice explanation but again I don't like the odd impression it gives off that people are visualizing computer servers in "The Cloud" as if they were some sort of publicly accessible free resource hanging out there.....I mean "The Internet" is to a large degree a publicly free resource hanging out there once you connect, and conceptually to confuse the two. I mean "The Cloud" is always "a cloud" that someone is hosting and charging you for resources. Then to describe a private cloud is a whole different tack that you come to understand as I said that it is a paradigm of IT design that came enabled by new technologies and faster hardware.
