It shouldn't be important where applications and data are located. Cloud is based on the quality and safety of the service and users shoud be guaranteed and sure about it.
In practice: among our Customers we have different multinational companies with subsidiaries in Europe, Asia and USA. They utilize an infrastructure located in 2 (and in some case in 3) different data centers but they all have an Italian HQ so we have never faced the need to create an infrastructure outside Italy, so far.
But the increasing demand of cloud services and the growth of some of our Customers has asked a redefinition of the positioning strategy of our infrastructures, even abroad; so in the near future (maybe in 2012 .....) we will have an alternative proposal, even for clients asking to host their data outside Italy.
